Where the Passion Begins
Gerlinde Hofbauer has been in the tourism industry for 35 years and has successfully managed her own marketing agency with a focus on luxury properties, exclusive hotels and destinations since 1995. Her core competence lies in the creation and implementation of individual marketing plans, contract negotiations with tour operators and public relations, supported by an extensive network of representatives from the European travel industry and the German-speaking press that she has built up over the years. With her passion for hotels and long-haul travel, she is tirelessly committed to achieving her clients' goals, following the maxim "you have to love what you are doing".
One of her first and long-standing clients is one of the most exclusive and extraordinary vacation destinations, the private island of Mustique, where famous personalities from business, fashion and show business as well as the Royal Family rent their villas. Anguilla, another jet-set island in the Caribbean, known for dream beaches and luxury accommodations, was represented by her agency in the DACH region for 12 years. Numerous international 5-star hotels have used her services over the years, relying on her competence and expertise in the luxury segment. These include internationally renowned and multi-award winning hotels such as Spice Island Beach Resort in Grenada, Le Toiny in St. Barths, Pangkor Laut in Langkawi, Round Hill and Half Moon in Jamaica.
For the hotel group Amedia she has deepened and broadened her expertise in the hotel industry as hotel director in Munich and in Wels and successfully accompanied two hotel takeovers. Her extensive know-how and her sovereignty are highly appreciated by the travel industry and with some tour operators she was significantly involved in product development and design.
